(August 27, 2011)
Yup. 5 months. Already. I know I say this ever time (and will continue to do so) but where the heck is time going?
Yet again another month loaded with first...
Of course we had a first trip to Philly and cheese steaks
You also had your first bite of rice cereal! (I have a post on that coming up) And I'm working on making some veggies. You are an eating champ! The doctor wanted you to put on some weight (actually only 12lb 14oz at 4 month appointment). You are now around 13.2lbs and was 25.1 inches long.
You still can fit into 0-3, but more and more are finding their way into the bin, and 3-6 are still baggy. I wonder if they make baby belts, so they don't just hang around your skinny waist? Diapers are the still size 1 when you use disposables. We are still going strong on the cloth and actually switch to cloth wipes for just wet diapers. You aren't a fan of diaper changes any more, probably because there are many other things you'd rather be doing than laying on your back. You try to roll onto your tummy or turn around so you can watch the cat in the window.
Speaking of cats, you LOVE to watch them and try to pet them. It's quite funny so watch you watch them and reach for them as they run away.
Your personality is starting to really show through, and while you're typically a happy, smiley baby, if you don't get what you want you get vocal. I'm worried I'm going to be the embarrassed mom in the not so far future when we're out somewhere and you start yelling. Currently it sounds like a pterodactyl, a high pitch yell/squawk. It's not pretty.
You are also still teething hardcore. Rainy weather makes it worse (I guess it's similar to an old injury that aches in bad weather) so of course this month hasn't been pretty since we've had about 13 inches of rain not including the hurricane.
Sleep has been a bit sketchy...we've been pushing your limits and keeping you out later than normal a quite a few times this month. You've been a trooper, but we are now experiencing a few wake up calls in the middle of the night. Momma isn't too happy about that. Maybe you are going through a growth spurt? It's only been a few days, so I'm not too worried unless you keep waking up and asking for food.
You're monthly photos were taken during a nap time because as of lately you have decided that naps are for babies, and you are a big boy and don't want to nap. It has been quite a struggle.
You're exersaucer is still a huge hit and helps to by momma time to get stuff done.
You also started to use your Johnny Jump and while you haven't quite figured out how to jump in it, you like to spin around and around. Swinging is also a favorite as is trying to crawl. Although you have it a bit backwards and end up doing the superman more than getting up on your knees.
(Really mom? No photos please)
(The monkey keeps getting smaller each month...)
(Seriously, I don't want pictures taken!)

Month 1
Logan,
As always you are such a joy! You think you're parents are crazy and love to crack up at us. You love to play and always need to be doing sometime. You amaze me everyday with what you can do.
