Logan -2 Months

If you missed month 1, you can read it here.

Logan,

You just keep growing and changing right in front of my eyes! You look like a little boy and I forget how small you really are until I see you with someone else.

You are my little mover. You'll sit in your bouncy seat and kick your legs like crazy to move and get the monkeys to 'dance'. You also love to watch your monkeys on the mobile. It's great and buys your momma time in the morning to brush her teeth and was her face :-)

Speaking of mornings, your are super delightful when you wake up. You are completely alert and in play mode. You are all smiles when I come to get you and laugh-smile as I sing you the good morning song.

You've been 'talking' with us the past few weeks by imitating our sounds. It's super cute and you can get quite vocal.

Your favorite this month is standing! I know, right? You are quite strong and will push up and stand on your own. Momma is just there to help with your balance so you don't fall. When your legs get tired you make me (or whoever is holding you) hold you in the standing position. You really want to be a big boy!

(Please excuse the mess!)

This can be a bit challenging since you are almost 13 pounds! You may be heavy, but you're not a chubby baby by any means. You are long and lean and muscular. :-)

You also started to wear your cloth diapers this month. They work wonderful although you still wear disposables at night because we need to buy a few more. They look so cute on you. You wear them on the smallest setting and 4 snaps in. You are in size 1 of disposables.

In clothes you can still wear a select few of your newborn stuff, but most of them are now packed away. Sniff, sniff. 0-3 fit you great except for a few sleepers because you are so long and can't quite stretch out like you like to.

Speaking of sleep, you've been doing 5.5-7 hour stretches for most of the month! And last night you spent your first night in your crib! You did awesome and slept anywhere from 3-4 hours. I'm sure it didn't help that it was in the 80's and humid all day.

(He can sit up this month! No leaning on the monkey!)

(Half a leg longer than the monkey and putting on the chub)

Logan, you are our sunshine. You are all smiles and such a good baby. Your so pleasant and will let anyone hold you as long as they don't cradle you like a baby.

We get complements on how well behaved you are all the time. As well as how cute you are, and how blue your eyes are. In fact, I was told today that you look like a magazine baby! We are so blessed to be called your parents.

(Straight from the camera...his eyes are seriously that blue! )

Love always,

Momma

And I just found this photo hilarious! I promise that I do not hit my baby! Even though he totally looks like he's flinching away.

30 Day Challenge - Day 3

Day 3 on the 30 Day Challenge is my view on drugs and alcohol.

Drugs is easy. No. None. Zilch. It's illegal, straight up. I had someone really close to me get into some serious trouble with pot. Not something to mess around with. End of story.

Alcohol I believe is fine in moderation. I love me a nice glass of white zin or a girlie drink. Sadly, I haven't had much more than a sip of Kevin's beer in almost a year. Totally worth it for my precious, healthy baby boy.

End of story.

30 Day Challenge - Day 2

Day 2 of the challenge: Where I'd like to be in 10 years...

Let's see, 10 years from now will be 2021 and I'll be ::gasp:: 37!!!! Yikes! I still remember being 17 and graduating high school and those 10 years have flown by!

We'll have been married for like 14 years and Logan will be 10 years old and will hopefully have 2 younger brothers/sisters. Hopefully the cats have matured a bit and aren't quite as mischievous either.

I'd like to have sold our house and have moved to a place with a bit more privacy and bigger yard for the kids to play in.

I'll be back to work after staying home to raise our kids since they will all be in school by then. (Wow, that is really weird to think that my future kids will be old enough to be in school!) Not really sure what I'll be doing. I enjoy doing human resources, but I'm sure so much will have changed in those 10 years. I also enjoy the financial side, so maybe something with that. Or maybe something completely different...I'm open to almost anything. :-)

Not really sure what else. I'm not really one to look too far into the future because God always seems to have different plans, so I'd rather sit back and enjoy the ride then planning to much and being let down. :-)

Where would you like to be in 10 years?

30 Day Challenge - Day 1

Day 1 : My current relationship...

Well, just in case you can't tell from my page or don't know me, I'm married :-)

July 7th will be 4 years! 4 YEARS!!! I can't believe it's been that long! It seems to have flown by.
And yes, if you are doing the math and counting back, we were one of the thousands (millions???) of couples who got married on 07-07-07. Makes it easy for everyone to remember.

Let's backtrack, shall we?

We 'officially' started dating in October 2006. It was official when he went old skool and asked (in a southern accent) "would you be my giiiirlfrieeend". Yeah, we're dorks like that.

We had known each other since the Fall of 2004 when we met through mutual friends at church.

Please don't laugh to hard...here's us ringing in 2005...just 2 college kids!

Then after a beach trip with some friends, he decided it was time to get to know me better then "just a friend".

Sorry it's so blurry, my old camera was crap and I can't seem to find all the pictures from that trip.
On Sept. 12, 2005 we had our 1st official date. Lunch at Cosi's (where we ran into one of my best friends' mom, lol) and then up to Marsh Creek and tossed a football and met up with my roomie (and bestie) and one of his besties. (Guys don't call each other besties...they say brother, but I think that would be too confusing on here...)

That's the short and sweet version of how we became us...maybe on anniversary week I'll get more into it. Someone remind me, mkay?

Silent Sunday: Morning Helpers

Helping or hindering me getting ready for church?
